What are Accommodations?

A diagnosis or disability may affect one’s access to equal opportunities within the classroom. SFCC Accessibility Services offers academic accommodations to support student success. Areas that can be supported by accommodations are classroom activities, classroom assignments, communication, test/quizzes/exams, campus mobility, and side effects to medication.

Students that are registered with Accessibility Services are provided with an accommodation plan that is protected in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
