Kathleen is native Santa Fean, having been born and raised here and a graduate of Santa Fe High School and the University Of New Mexico. Her bachelor’s degree is in Vocational Home Economics Education with a minor in Political Science. So how did she become a Registrar? As many know…..no one really grows up to be a Registrar!
She has been involved in student services for more than 30 years. First in public education in New Mexico as Executive Director of the New Mexico FHA/HERO (Future Homemakers of American/Home Economics Related Occupations). Spent a short period in the hospitality industry with conference planning and coordination.
Kathleen started her higher education professional career in student services in the Office of Admissions at the University of New Mexico and worked her way into the Office of the Registrar at UNM where she retired as the University Registrar in 2010. She comes to SFCC from Northern New Mexico College and is totally psyched to be back in Santa Fe and to be at Santa Fe Community College.
Welcome Kathleen Sena!
