Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
In SFCC’s Emergency Medical Technician Program (EMT) you’ll learn from experienced professionals who are committed to providing high-quality emergency medical technician (EMT) training. EMT classes and paramedic training cover the assessment, understanding and management of medical, trauma, cardiac, pediatric and many other types of emergencies. In addition, partnerships with local fire and EMS departments will provide a realistic environment for you to practice rescue exercises in life-threatening situations. To apply to this program, please see the Paramedic Application Checklist and complete the EMSI Paramedic Program Application in addition to the college admissions form.
Upon completing the program, graduates are prepared to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification exams, and obtain a NM state license at the Basic, Intermediate and Paramedic levels. SFCC’s EMSI graduates at all levels have an excellent track record in passing their NREMT exams at significantly higher than average rates.
