Thursday, March 29: Mindfully Managing Stress with Kate Latimer from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Welcome and Advising Center, Room 204-I.
Learn how the practice of mindfulness can help with stress and help you be more present in the moment. This workshop will provide practical mindfulness skills that you can use to immediately reduce stress related to academic challenges and personal issues.

Do you fully understand how your educational pathway will convert to a job/career? How do you represent your academic experience on a résumé—especially when you lack work experience and academic experience is all that you have? This workshop will provide skills to help you focus your job search and tailor your résumé to reflect the skills and strengths that you bring to a potential employer.

Transferring to a four-year school can be a streamlined, positive experience if you prepare in advance. This workshop will provide useful strategies to assist you with:
applying to a school as a transfer student
identifying the appropriate contact person at your future school
evaluating academic degrees and their related degree plans
understanding how institutions accept transferred credits
