Santa Fe Community College High School Equivalency/GED Prep Registration Open
Four-day orientation begins Oct. 28. The third fall session begins Nov. 4 in Spanish and English
The registration period for SFCC HSE/GED preparation classes is open for new students through Oct. 25. Classes begin Nov. 4 in Spanish and English. Returning students may register until Nov. 1. For more information, call 505-428-1356 or go to https://www.sfcc.edu/new-student-registration-hse-ged/.
Classes are offered in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. Classes conducted in Spanish are offered in the evenings and on Saturdays. Classes prepare students for the state-approved HSE tests – the GED and HiSet.
New students are required to attend the four-day orientation Oct. 28 to 31. The four-day orientation is offered in the mornings from 9 a.m. to noon or in the evenings from 5 to 8 p.m. In orientation, students will have the opportunity to meet with an advisor, create an individualized learning plan, and register for classes. A $25 fee covers classes and class materials.
The SFCC Adult Education Department also gives students the opportunity to work on a college certificate in healthcare and education while preparing for HSE/GED exams. The Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training Program (I-BEST) is offering certificates this fall in: Phlebotomy, Certified Nursing Assistant, Community Health Worker and Early Childhood Education.
