Santa Fe Community College launches new web page for online programs

Santa Fe Community College SFCC has launched a web page that provides a basic guide to programs offered online. Visit https://www.sfcc.edu/online/ to check out the options.

Please note https://www.sfcc.edu/online/ is an evolving web page that will be updated. Some of the programs listed also have in-person classes available, as well as online classes. An online college education offers students the opportunity to study from the comfort of home and on a flexible schedule. Classes are often available on demand and students can access course materials and assignments from anywhere with an internet connection.

SFCC offers a variety of online programs to earn a certificate and/or an associate degree. These offerings include programs in: Accounting, Alternative Teacher Licensure, American Sign Language & Interpreter Preparation, Business Administration, Creative Writing, Human Services, Information Services and Computer Science, Nutrition, Paralegal Studies and Psychology. Prospective students should reach out to the program contact on the individual program pages to determine if the program will help them achieve their academic and career goals.

For prospective students who have not attended the college in the past, they should visit https://www.sfcc.edu/get-started/apply-and-register/. Returning students should set up an appointment with an advisor to make sure when they enroll that the courses will fit into a certificate or degree plan. Visit https://www.sfcc.edu/offices/academic-advising/ to set up either an online or in-person advising appointment.

Prospective students should also be aware that in the past year, the college has expanded its in-person offerings in many subject areas. For many programs, hands-on experience is key to developing career skills. Prospective students should think about what type of classes fits their personal learning style.

Visit https://www.sfcc.edu/online-learning-at-sfcc/ to read more about the types of online classes offered at the college. Also, read https://www.sfcc.edu/technical-considerations/ to make sure you have access to the proper internet connections and equipment to participate in online classes.
