Address Food Insecurity at SFCC
The SFCC Campus Cupboard has been providing nutritious food and household necessities to hungry students and community members since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is a partnership between SFCC students, the Santa Fe Food Depot, and donors who make recurring and one-time cash contributions through the SFCC Foundation.
The pandemic highlighted an uncomfortable truth: Many of our low-income students struggle to feed themselves and their families. One of our students says, “Thanks to these resources, I am able to provide 2-3 meals for myself and my boys”.
Students are forced to prioritize making ends meet over their education goals. They fall behind or leave school completely.
Fortunately, the Campus Cupboard provides the practical support that low-income students need.
Since Campus Cupboard was established, over 2,000 meals have been distributed to students.
