Congratulations to SFCC Green Business of the Year: La Fonda

Congratulations to Santa Fe Community College Green Business of the Year recipient La Fonda on the Plaza. The hotel was honored with the acknowledgment during the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce’s 2018 Business Awards gala on June 7.

In a recent Santa Fe New Mexican article, Jayne Weiske, La Fonda marketing director said the award was “awesome.” She added, “Every department in the hotel takes a sustainable business approach from using cornstarch straws rather than plastic to recycling hundreds of pounds of soap to installing low-flow toilets and casement windows.”

About 400 people attended the Business Awards celebration. SFCC was one of the sponsors.
