Update on new greenhouse

Update from Henry Mignardot, Executive Director for Plant Operations and Maintenance: We’re excited and motivated; we selected a construction contractor to construct the Hydroponic/Aquaponics Greenhouses. The project has received all approvals, the contractor has a construction permit in hand and the project has started with site clearing last week. Site excavation equipment arriving and work commencing next week and estimated substantial completion date at the end of August.

We look forward to pursuing and completing this project by monitoring costs with the highest attention to value and quality, and with student and community success in mind. Incidentally the students will be participating in this project under the auspices of the Greenhouse instructors and allowed to monitor the progress and visit the site under their instructor’s guidance. The project has received all approvals, the contractor has a construction permit in hand and the project has started with site clearing last week.
