Trades and Advanced Technology Center

The Trades and Advanced Technology Center at Santa Fe Community College offers a broad curriculum that includes associate in applied science degrees in building science and construction technologiesengineering technologiesgreenhouse management and sustainable technologies, among others.

Specialty certifications in biofuels and biodiesel/alternative fuels, green building construction and systemsresidential energy auditing and inspection, green infrastructure/IT, solar energy and water treatment operations and resource management are also offered.

All degree-seeking students at SFCC, approximately 12,000 per year, are required to enroll in Environmental Technologies (ENVR111), which introduces them to sustainable concepts.

The Trades and Advanced Technology Center houses the School of Trades, Technology, Sustainability and Professional Studies.

In 2015, the building was awarded LEED Platinum from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Banner Upgrade: Limited Campus Services Starting 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 26

Banner services at SFCC will be unavailable starting at 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 26, while important upgrades take place. The update is expected to last through Sunday, May 28.

During this upgrade, no services that rely on Banner will be accessible. Impacted areas include Financial Aid, Cashier’s Office and the Welcome and Advising Center. Registration for classes, including those in Continuing Education and Dual Credit, will not be available during this time.
