The Spring 2020 semester ends on May 16. Summer and Fall Registration begin this month.
Spring 2020
Request Withdrawal | Change to Audit | Drop | Petition to Graduate
The Spring 2020 semester ends on May 16th. Please see below for some updates.
To request Withdraw from Spring 2020 (through May 15):
- Send an email from your @sfcc email account to records@sfcc.edu.
- The subject line should read: Request Withdraw
The content of email must include:- Your intent to request withdraw
- Your SFCC A Number
- The CRN and course code(s) for the classes you wish to Withdraw.
- The SFCC Registrar will approve the request and send an email to the student once processed.
Your academic advisor can help you make the right decisions as you work towards completing your degree. Please contact your advisor at advisor@sfcc.edu.
To request to change from Credit to Audit for Spring 2020 (through May 15):
- Send an email from your @sfcc email account to records@sfcc.edu.
- The subject line should read: Request Change from Credit to Audit
The content of email should read: - Request to change from credit to audit;
- Include SFCC A Number; and,
- Include the CRN and course code of the course for the course requesting to change from credit to audit.
- The SFCC Registrar will approve and copy the student once processed.
- Your academic advisor can help you make the right decisions as you work towards completing your degree. Please contact your advisor at advisor@sfcc.edu.
To request A Drop from Spring 2020 (through May 15):
- Send an email from your @sfcc email account to your instructor’s sfcc email account.
- The subject line should read: Request Drop
- The content of email must include:
- Your intent to Request Drop
- Your SFCC A Number
- The CRN and course code(s) you are requesting to Drop.
- Your instructor will review the request, and if approved, will send it to the Associate Vice President for Student Success Thomasinia Ortiz Gallegos.
- The Associate Vice President for Student Success will review the request, check mid-term grades, and verify if you were a recipient of federal financial assistance. Please note that your request will be denied if you received federal financial assistance (or any part of a disbursement).
- If you did not receive financial assistance and your request is approved:
- You will be credited for a future semester. There are no cash refunds.
- You will have one academic year (Summer 2020, Fall 2020, or Spring 2021) to use the credit. Your credit will become non-refundable if not used during this period of time
- Your account will be credited for the total amount paid for the course that was dropped.
- If you are on a payment plan and you still owe a balance for the total course enrollment:
- A prorated amount will be calculated based on the course(s) that will be dropped and the total amount paid at the time the course(s) will be dropped
- the credited amount will only be for tuition and fees and can only be used towards tuition and fees during the allotted time (Summer 2020, Fall 202, or Spring 2021).

To Petition to Graduate (Spring 2020)
Please submit a Petition to Graduate online (online process will become available by April 20):
- Log in to MySFCC
- Select Student Records
- Select Petition to Graduate

Registration for Summer and Fall
- You are strongly encouraged to work with your academic advisor prior to registering. Your academic advisor can help you make the right decisions as you work towards completing your degree.
- You can check the online Catalog for information about your degree requirements.
- You can use the Schedule Builder to develop your schedule of classes.
Summer 2020 Registration
- The Summer 2020 Class Schedule will be viewable online by April 8. Choose the classes that meet your degree requirements and fit your schedule. Click on Look for Classes on the navigation bar.
- You are strongly encouraged to work with your academic advisor prior to registering
- Many classes fill early, so mark your calendar and plan to be ready to register next week.
- Summer 2020 Early Registration (for those with 30 or more credits) begins on Monday, April 13.
- Regular Registration begins on Tuesday, April 14.
- Here’s how to register:
- Online.
- Log into mySFCC.edu
- Click on Registration/Add or Drop tab on the upper left-hand.
- Select Add or drop
- Choose term
- Enter course information
- Email.
- Send an email to records@sfcc.edu from your SFCC email account with your request to register).
- Include the subject code, subject number and course number (example: ARTS (subject code) 1810 (subject number) 30909 (course number)).
- Telephone (for students without access to the internet).
- Be prepared before you call: Have the subject code, subject number and course number of your class(es) ready. For example, ARTS (subject code) 1810 (subject number) 30909 (course number).
- Call the Office of the Registrar at 505-428-1267.
- Provide your A number.
- Request to register.
