CHILDCARE- MAKE SURE YOU’RE ON THE KIDS CAMPUS WAITLIST 

Are you in need of childcare?  When a spot becomes available at the Kids Campus, students get priority placement.  Kids campus wants to support student parents and hopes that those needing childcare will get on the waitlist.  Children of degree-seeking SFCC students, SFCC employees, and full-time students at the Higher Education Center are prioritized for placement to support a two-generation philosophy of education at the college.  Visit the Kids Campus website for more information.  Student receive a 10% discount on the cost of Kids Campus and NM Early Childhood Education and Care Development offers Child Care Assistance to income-eligible students. 

CULTURE DAY, WEDNESDAY, MAY 6, 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. IN THE COURTYARD

Come celebrate the vibrant cultures that make up our SFCC community!  This special event will bring us together through live cultural performances, interactive activities, and resource tables featuring campus departments, student clubs, and community organizations.  Light refreshments will be provided.  Culture day is the chance to connect, learn from one another, and celebrate the diversity that enriches our campus.  Whether you stop by for a few minutes or stay for the full experience, we would love to see you there.  Let’s come together in the spirit of community, culture, and celebration.  We look forward to celebrating with you.

DRIVE WHILE INTOXICATED (DWI) AWARENESS DAY

The Office of Student Engagement invites you to join us at the SFCC Campus Center on April 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  This event will highlight the importance of DWI awareness through a blend of educational information and interactive impairment activities designed to be both impactful and engaging.  Plus, enjoy some free popcorn while you are there.

FINANCIAL DEADLINE APRIL 20

Don’t leave your funding to chance!   April 20, 2026, is the final deadline for the following:

• Direct Student Loan Processing: All applications, corrections, updates, or changes.  
• Special Circumstances Appeals: All requests for financial aid adjustment.
• Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeals:  Final date to submit appeals to regain aid eligibility.

All documentation must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office no later than this date to be considered for the current term.  To contact the Financial Aid Office, email financialaid@sfcc.edu or call 505-428-1268.

FINANCIAL WELL-BEING AND LITERACY COURSE

Student affairs has launched a Financial Well-being and Literacy course to help our students ensure they are on a path to financial well-being and making good choices about their money and their future. Nusenda and SFCC have a co-branded Financial Wellness website with lots of useful information and tools:  https://santafecc.teachbanzai.com/wellness.  You can access the course by clicking on the “Financial Literacy” button on the Welcome section of the MySFCC homepage.

FREE DIAPERS AVAILABLE THROUGH DIAPER DEPOT AT SFCC EXCHANGE

SFCC students, faculty, staff, and community members can now receive a free monthly supply of diapers and wipes—thanks to a new partnership between the SFCC Exchange and Food Depot’s Diaper Depot.  Sizes range from newborn to size 8.  To participate, enroll at the Campus Cupboard (Room LL305) or if you already have a CC#, email joanna.johnston@sfcc.edu with your information.   Please see attached flyer. 

FREE FOOD AND SNACKS

The Campus Cupboard (Room LL305, lower level of the West Wing) offers free groceries and snacks to the SFCC community.  You can shop for groceries once a week and grab up to two snacks a day.  The Campus Cupboard is open from 8:15 am to 4:45 PM, Monday through Friday when campus is open.  The Exchange also has kitchen items, clothing, and diaper program enrollment.  No student ID is required—just a quick 5-minute enrollment.  Menstrual products are provided by Free Flow New Mexico.  Questions?  Email cupboard@sfcc.edu or call 505-428-1775.

ON DEMAND STATEMENTS NOW AVAILABLE

SFCC HAS ADDED A NEW FEATURE

You can download a statement of your account at any time you would like.  The statement will include:

• Amount owing for the term (could also include balances from other terms owing
• Account Activity for term chosen showing Charges/Credits/Payments
• Schedule of classes register for
• Buttons to print or make a payment

Below are instructions on how to view the statement.

1. Log into your student portal at http://www.my.sfcc.edu/  
2. Click the Pay Now/1098T button
3. Enter your SFCC email address
4. In the Statements box you can click ON Demand Statement
5. In the drop-down box click on the Term needed

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION AVAILABLE NOW

Pay for college with scholarships.  One simple application puts you in consideration for State institutional and Foundation private scholarships.  Scholarships are available for new and returning, part time and full-time students to help pay for college for the upcoming academic year.  Scholarships are also available for second generation colleges.  For more information and to apply go to:  https://www.sfcc.edu/offices/financial-aid/  If you have questions or need assistance, email the Financial Aid Office at finaid@sfcc.edu from your SFCC student email account.  Make sure to include your Student ID number in the email.

SPRING IN YOUR STEP-5K MAY 10

Join the inaugural Spring in Your Step 5K on Sunday, May 10, at 8 a.m. at the William C. Witter Fitness Education Center.  The community run/walk celebrates the Girls on the Run Santa Fe spring season and supports confidence and growth.  Register now at  https://springinyourstep5k.com/

STATE OF NEW MEXICO INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
