APRENDE PRE-APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM/ PROGRAMA DE PRE-APRENDIZ
APRENDE Pre-Apprenticeship Program is for people interested in becoming an early childhood assistant teacher who do not have experience in early childhood settings. Pre-Apprentices gain experience through a 150-hour field experience and earn a Child Development Certificate (CDC) in early childhood education. Pre-Apprentices earn financial incentives for their field experience and early childhood coursework. All course credits will transfer to continue to the associate degree in early childhood education. If you have already earned your CDC, you are not qualified for pre-apprenticeship. After completing the Pre-Apprenticeship Program, you will be qualified to become a teacher assistant in a high-quality early learning setting. APRENDE es un programa de capacitación de maestros de la primera infancia en Santa Fe Community College a través de la experiencia practica en la enseñanza para obtener certificados y titulas para una carrerea gratificante en la primera infancia.

CHILDCARE- MAKE SURE YOU’RE ON THE KIDS CAMPUS WAITLIST
Are you in need of childcare? When a spot becomes available at the Kids Campus, students get priority placement. Kids campus wants to support student parents and hopes that those needing childcare will get on the waitlist. Children of degree-seeking SFCC students, SFCC employees, and full-time students at the Higher Education Center are prioritized for placement to support a two-generation philosophy of education at the college. Student receive a 10% discount on the cost of Kids Campus and NM Early Childhood Education and Care Development offers Child Care Assistance to income-eligible students.

FINANCIAL WELL-BEING AND LITERACY COURSE
Student affairs has launched a Financial Well-being and Literacy course to help our students ensure they are on a path to financial well-being and making good choices about their money and their future. FREE DIAPERS AVAILABLE THROUGH DIAPER DEPOT AT SFCC EXCHANGE
SFCC students, faculty, staff, and community members can now receive a free monthly supply of diapers and wipes—thanks to a new partnership between the SFCC Exchange and Food Depot’s Diaper Depot. FREE BRAIN INJURY SCREENING AND RESOURCE FAIR
This event is offered in partnership with the Governor’s Commission on Disability, reflecting a shared statewide commitment to improving awareness, access, and early support related to brain injury and brain health. The Commission is also collaborating with SFCC’s film department that produced a documentary on brain injury, which will be premiered as part of the event to deepen understanding through storytelling and lived experience. It is a great opportunity for students interested in health, wellness, caregiving, education, film, or advocacy, as well as anyone who has had a head injury or wants to learn more about brain health.

FREE FOOD AND SNACKS
The Campus Cupboard (Room LL305, lower level of the West Wing) offers free groceries and snacks to the SFCC community. You can shop for groceries once a week and grab up to two snacks a day. The Campus Cupboard is open from 8:15 am to 4:45 PM, Monday through Friday when campus is open. The Exchange also has kitchen items, clothing, and diaper program enrollment. 1) Are you currently enrolled in this semester and are experiencing some financial challenges? Have you experienced a recent emergency and need just a little help? Apply today through the Student Emergency Fund. The application can be found on your MySFCC page und Resources (Emergency Assistance Fund). Applications are reviewed frequently, and funds are directly awarded to your account. (The funds cannot cover the cost of tuition or books.)
2) Did you know that you may be eligible for FREE GRANT MONEY? Have you completed your Free Application for Federal Student Ais (FASFSA). If not, it’s easy, apply today at www.fafsa.gov . SFCC STUDENT NURSES ASSOCIATION RAFFLE FUNDRAISER
The SFCC Student Nurses Association is hosting a raffle fundraiser to support future nurses and help fund the Graduate Nurse Pinning Ceremony. Tickets are cash-only and can be purchased from SNA members or at the SFCC Nurse Static Lab in Room 428, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The raffle runs from February 2 to March 9, 2026, with the drawing held on March 24, 2026, and participants do not need to be present to win.

WIN PROJECT
The WIN project employs four Navigators who are actively working to recruit individuals who are unemployed or underemployed or are looking to skill up. Benson is currently assigned to SFCC. WIN Navigators focus is to support low-income individuals, people of color, and people recovering from substance use disorders or those who have been incarcerated to place them into training programs, and connect them with services, resources, employers, and further training to support their success.
