Open House  9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 14
You will have the opportunity to meet and talk with national Ford Motor Company Technical Placement Specialist Cesar Martinez.  Martinez, who is bilingual, is happy to respond to questions in either Spanish or English. He will discuss résumé writing tips, interviewing skills, opportunities in the automotive industry, and will share information about Ford Motor Company in four scheduled presentations: 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in English, and  11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Spanish.  There will be great auto-related giveaways and SFCC swag available. Find out more and register at

​Save the Date March 31 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  This will take place in the SFCC  Campus Center.  We will have more than 30 employers.  Lunch will be provided to the first 150 students who participate.  We will provide more information as the event gets closer.  Please keep any eye out for it. 

COUNSELING SERVICES SUPPORT GROUPS offered for the second half of the Spring semester!

Counseling Services is offering new rounds of telehealth groups, including a General Support Group and a Nursing Support Group. Each group will meet for 6 weeks beginning the week of April 4th, and each session will last one hour.

Drop-in General Support*: Wednesdays at 12 noon

  • -Stay engaged and supported through the final 8 weeks of Spring semester
  • Learn techniques and skills to lower test anxiety
  • Acquire healthy and fun methods of de-stressing 
  • Share your concerns and accomplishments through group support
  • Drop-in Wednesdays @noon when you can or when you need to

Drop-in Nursing Support**: Fridays at 12 noon

  • Receive the support you need to stay engaged in the nursing program
  • Learn techniques to lower test anxiety, including meditation and breathing exercises
  • Share your challenges in a safe, supportive, and confidential space
  • Support your fellow nursing student peers and receive support from them
  • Drop-in Fridays @ noon when you can or when you need to

Please remember,  students who are enrolled to attend an on-the-ground class or need access to campus (main or HEC) must upload their vaccination information or submit a request for medical or religious exemption.   Students who do not meet this requirement will be disenrolled (withdrawn from all on-the ground classes) and will remain financially responsible.

Santa Fe Community College students and prospective SFCC students can get assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online via Zoom from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m on the dates listed above. The campus cupboard (Room 302E) is offering FREE FOOD this spring semester.  Students can visit weekly during open hours to select their own products or pick up a prepacked box.   We currently do not require student identification.  Personal hygiene (menstrual) products are available from Free Flow NM.  You may schedule an appointment using the Campus Cupboards Booking link on MYSFCC.  Check out the new QR code created for the Campus Cupboard which takes you quickly to the Campus Cupboard Bookings site.  From there you can shop online or set up an appointment to shop.  They have contactless pickup and even delivery.  Please see the attached flyer for these services.    Question call 505/428-1775 or email:


1)  Are you currently enrolled in the Spring semester and experiencing some financial challenges?  Have you experienced a recent emergency and need just a little help?  Apply today through the Student Emergency Fund.  Applications can be found on your MYSFCC page under Resources (Emergency Assistance Fund).  Applications are reviewed frequently, and funds are directly awarded to your account.  (The funds cannot cover the cost of tuition or books.)

The Gene Haas Scholarship for Engineering Machining Technology AAS

Part-time students (6-11 credits) can receive a scholarship of $300 per semester, and full-time students (12 or more credits) can receive $500. New students are eligible, and continuing students must maintain a semester and cumulative GPA of 2.5. In addition, students must: declare a major in the Engineering Machining Technology AAS, be a New Mexico resident, and file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Dreamers Financial Aid Application. 

The Gene Haas Scholarship can be combined with other scholarship options like the Opportunity Scholarship and the Lottery Scholarship.  For more information on scholarships and links to applications, go to

Early Learning Center at Kaune | 505 – 303 – 3950

The Early Learning Center at Kaune is accepting applications for children 3 – 4 years of age for the 2022-2023 school year. To qualify for the program, children must be 3 or 4 years old before September 1, 2022. Visit for the application and more details. All applications received by this April 30, 2022, will be entered into the lottery. The lottery will be drawn on May 3, 2022. Families will receive notification of the lottery results by May 17, 2022.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION  (2021-2022) Available Now

SFCC can help you pay for college with scholarships. One simple application puts you in consideration for state institutional and Foundation private scholarships.  Scholarships are available for new and returning, part time and full-time students to help pay for college for the upcoming academic year.  Scholarships are also available for second generation college students, Veterans, Native American students, Hispanic students and students with disabilities (must be registered with the SAS department at  SFCC offers performance-based scholarships through Contract for a Better Tomorrow (CBT).
