CAMPUS CUPBOARD MEAL KITS
The Campus Cupboard is excited to announce Cook Kits! Everything you need to make a nourishing, easy to prepare meal, packed in one bag and ready to take home. Each Cook Kit includes all the ingredients and a simple recipe to help you create a delicious dish with minimal stress and maximum flavor. Designed with students and families in mind, these kits make cooking affordable, accessible, and fun. A new cook kit will be available in late October. Check back to find out the exact date. Good food shouldn’t be complicated. Cook Kits are limited in number, and will be first come, first served.
CAREER COACH
Check out SFCC’s Career Coach your one stop shop for job postings, resume writing, and career exploration. You can quickly apply for any job posted in Career Coach. You can also take a career assessment that identifies our primary areas of strength and provides suggestions for different career paths to explore.
CAREER FAIR ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15TH
Are you looking for a job? Curious about local employers and job opportunities? Attend the Career Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15 in the Main Building and Campus Center. Local employers will be on campus to speak with students and community members about job opportunities.
CHILDCARE- MAKE SURE YOU’RE ON THE KIDS CAMPUS WAITLIST
Are you in need of childcare? When a spot becomes available at the Kids Campus, students get priority placement. Kids campus wants to support student parents and hopes that those needing childcare will get on the waitlist. Children of degree-seeking SFCC students, SFCC employees, and full-time students at the Higher Education Center are prioritized for placement to support a two-generation philosophy of education at the college. Visit the Kids Campus website for more information. Student receive a 10% discount on the cost of Kids Campus and NM Early Childhood Education and Care Development offers Child Care Assistance to income-eligible students.
Fall 2025 CAREER AND TRANSFER WORKSHOPS
Join Career and Transfer Services once a month for a workshop on a career related topic. We will meet on Wednesdays from 3:30 – 4:30 in Room 412. FREE DIAPERS AVAILABLE THROUGH DIAPER DEPOT AT SFCC EXCHANGE
SFCC students, faculty, staff, and community members can now receive a free monthly supply of diapers and wipes—thanks to a new partnership between the SFCC Exchange and Food Depot’s Diaper Depot. Sizes range from newborn to size 8. FINANCIAL WELL-BEING AND LITERACY COURSE
Student affairs has launched a Financial Well-being and Literacy course to help our students ensure they are on a path to financial well-being and making good choices about their money and their future. Nusenda and SFCC have a co-branded Financial Wellness website with lots of useful information and tools: https://santafecc.teachbanzai.com/wellness. You can access the course by clicking on the “Financial Literacy” button on the Welcome section of the MySFCC homepage.
FREE FOOD AND SNACKS
The Campus Cupboard (Room LL305, lower level of the West Wing) offers free groceries and snacks to the SFCC community. You can shop for groceries once a week and grab up to two snacks a day. The Campus Cupboard is open from 8:15 am to 4:45 PM, Monday through Friday when campus is open. The Exchange also has kitchen items, clothing, and diaper program enrollment. FREE MONEY
1) Are you currently enrolled in this semester and are experiencing some financial challenges? Have you experienced a recent emergency and need just a little help? Apply today through the Student Emergency Fund. The application can be found on your MySFCC page und Resources (Emergency Assistance Fund). Applications are reviewed frequently, and funds are directly awarded to your account. (The funds cannot cover the cost of tuition or books.)
2) Did you know that you may be eligible for FREE GRANT MONEY? Have you completed your Free Application for Federal Student Ais (FASFSA). If not, it’s easy, apply today at www.fafsa.gov . Even if you are taking a few classes, you may still be eligible. Form more information, please contact our financial aid office at 505-428-1268.

LIBRARY EXPANDS HOURS
Beginning Sept. 15, the library is open longer hours for the semester: Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Weekend hours are back!!

Pay for college with scholarships. One simple application puts you in consideration for State institutional and Foundation private scholarships. Scholarships are available for new and returning, part time and full-time students to help pay for college for the upcoming academic year. WIN PROJECT
The WIN project employs four Navigators who are actively working to recruit individuals who are unemployed or underemployed or are looking to skill up. Benson is currently assigned to SFCC. WIN Navigators focus is to support low-income individuals, people of color, and people recovering from substance use disorders or those who have been incarcerated to place them into training programs, and connect them with services, resources, employers, and further training to support their success.
