SFCC Snapshot: Ondine Frauenglass

“During the campus closure, I have been involved in drafting the health and safety protocols so students who wish to complete their hands-on training can come to campus in a safe environment. These protocols follow CDC guidelines and have been adapted for Welding, Controlled Environment Agriculture (Greenhouse), and the Culinary Arts Program partnership with World Central Kitchen to provide free meals for the community during the pandemic. Our students are graduating into a new environment. They will need to be ready to apply a new layer of health and safety skills to the workplace. It’s important for them to have the opportunity to come and train in a safe environment, both to complete their education and to gain an understanding of what will be expected in future work situations.”
