Campus Update, Jan. 3, 2021
Dear Colleagues,
I hope your winter break has been restful, restorative, and healthful. The college is diligently preparing for the spring 2021 semester, with winter break concluding January 3 and online classes kicking off January 19.
I want to give you a quick update on the status of SFCC as we journey together into the New Year.
Prior to the break, the Main Campus and Santa Fe Higher Education Center closed to students, the public, and employees. As we enter the spring semester, please note: The college campus will remain closed on ground. Services and classes will continue online as usual. If you have additional questions on how this closure pertains to your particular area, please contact your Dean or Supervisor.
SFCC faculty, staff and students have done an amazing job adapting and transitioning to our online format. I thank you for your hard work and commitment as we embark on this new semester.
The health and safety of our community members, students, and employees is paramount. Much remains uncertain on how COVID-19 regulations and a vaccine schedule will impact the reopening of on-ground classes and in-person activities at SFCC. However, I remain optimistic that we are headed in the right direction as we continue to exercise proper precautions to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
I look forward to accomplishing great and important things with you in the New Year.
Sincerely,
Becky Rowley, Ph.D.
President
