To receive services, interested parties must meet one or more of the following criteria: 1) Be a homebound individual under the age of 60 who faces life-challenging situations and has no consistent resource for meal preparation. 2) Be a homebound individual under the age of 60 who is recovering from an injury, surgery, or hospitalization and has no consistent resources for meal preparation. 3) Be a homebound individual over 60 years old in a severe medical crisis with extreme dietary restrictions and has no consistent resources for meal preparation. 4) Be a dependent (under the age of 12) of a single parent who is a client. The application is a 3-page fillable PDF found on the website. The application is also available in Spanish.

First-come, first-serve drive-thru distribution in the north parking lot of St. John’s United Methodist Church. Every Tuesday from noon to 1:30 pm. Clients enter St. John’s north parking lot from Barcelona street and proceed to the tables where boxes of food are loaded into the back of the vehicle. Clients need to follow the traffic managers’ directions, wear face masks, and stay in their car for the entire visit. First-time clients who come to the pantry must complete a registration process and present a government-issued photo ID. Clients who arrive early park along Barcelona facing Old Pecos Trail. Please do not block a driveway entrance or exit. There is staff that speaks Spanish.

The Food Depot

The Food Depot is holding two weekly drive-thru food pantry in Santa Fe. Every other Thursday at The Food Depot parking lot from 7 am to 9 am. Every other Saturday from 8 am to 10 am, at Santa Fe Place (enter from Zafarano Road). Food distributions at Santa Fe place mall include items from The Emergency Food Assistance Program and require The Food Depot to ask recipients some questions. These questions include name, address, and household information, and income. No documentation is needed, and no one will be turned away during the distribution. The Food Depot is an equal opportunity provider.  Distributions are set up for maximum safety. Attendees remain in their car while volunteers place food in the trunk. Street Outreach Program – Youth Shelters and Family Services

Youth Shelter and Family Services Street Outreach Program is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 12 pm to 4 pm, Saturdays closed. The program serves individuals under the age of 21 experiencing homelessness and provides food, blankets, backpacks, and sleeping bags if inventory permits. There might be a Spanish translator but no onsite staff.

However, not all programs are available in all counties. Programs include: Education, Financial Assistance, Finding a Job, Housing, Child Care or Early Childhood Education, Basic Health and Safety Assistance and Employees. Interested parties must submit an application through their website.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAT)

To apply, go to http://www.yes.state.nm.us/yesnm; and create an account. The application includes questions about the people in the household and income, and bills. Applicants are asked to provide proof of all household income, identifications for all persons in the home, and a past-due PNM bill. The application does not need to be complete to be submitted. However, it will need to have essential information about the applicant and provide contact information so that a caseworker may contact later. If unsure of an answer, leave it blank. If help is needed to apply for LIHEAT benefits, contact The Salvation Army to complete the application over the phone or request an appointment by calling 505-988-8054. The application is also available in Spanish.

PNM Good Neighbor Fund
Contact the PNM Good Neighbor Fund at 844-378-5792 to get $150 of additional help towards the electric bill. Household income qualifications can be found here: www.pnm.com/gnf-applying-forhelp. Applicants will need to provide proof of all household income, proof the applicant was approved for LIHEAP, IDs for all persons in the home, and a past-due PNM bill. Please note that the Good Neighbor Fund can only be accessed once per year.

There might be a Spanish translator but no onsite staff.

Outreach services like hygiene products and food are also available, come to the office, ring the doorbell, or call ahead. No requirements are needed. Spanish-speaking staff is available.

This program serves unaccompanied youth ages 18 to 24 who may be experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or other dangerous situations. If eligible, the program offers the youth and their dependents up to 24 months of rental assistance and case management services. There are currently 3 case managers, Scarlet 505-629-8050 (speaks Spanish), Caleb 505-490-3099, and Jermain 505-470- 1572. Intake appointments are sometimes over the phone, at a prospective client’s location, or the STAR office.

Este programa sirve jóvenes no acompañados entre 18 y 24 años que pueden estar experimentando la falta de vivienda, violencia doméstica, u otras situaciones peligrosas. Si es elegible, el programa
