Water and Wastewater Operations
The program’s water conservation degree and water treatment certification and wastewater treatment certification are designed for people interested in entering the career field and for people already working working in water and wastewater treatment. Courses will help you develop and improve on-the-job skills required to operate water treatment and distribution systems. If you choose to earn SFCC’s Water Conservation degree, you’ll learn about watershed management, active watershed harvesting and distribution systems and other technologies and topics related to the critical need to conserve earth’s water.
Water and wastewater treatment plant and system operators earn a median annual salary of $47,880 and a water conservationist earns, on average, $63,750, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
