Paralegal Studies
As you pursue your paralegal degree, you’ll learn to conduct legal research and writing, compose pleadings, and process civil and criminal cases. You’ll also gain skills in interviewing clients and witnesses, gathering discovery, and performing case investigations. You’ll be trained in legal office operations and earn legal assistant certificates. Participating in the program’s internship course will give you experience working in a local law office for a semester.
SFCC’s Paralegal Studies Program offers an Associate in Applied Science in Paralegal Studies degree, which is the most widely accepted credential by employers hiring paralegals, both locally and nationally.
Paralegals earn a median annual salary of $56,230 and employment is projected to grow 12 percent by 2030, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The entire program – the A.A.S. degree and its three nested certificates – are fully online and provides students with the flexibility and convenience to attend from anywhere.
Join us at the Paralegals of Santa Fe Networking Group.
The group meets the 2nd Thursday of the month during the semester at the Santa Fe Higher Education Center, 5:30-7 p.m. Network with paralegals, legal assistants, legal secretaries, and paralegal studies students.
Fall 2025 dates: September 11, October 9, November 13
