In SFCC’s HVAC and plumbing certificate program, you’ll learn a wide range of technical and trade skills including plumbing, pipefitting and HVAC that are required to work in the fields of building construction and facilities maintanance. The combination of the craftsmanship skills gained from multiple areas should enhance your marketability in today’s workforce.

You’ll work with industry professionals to become skilled at installing, controlling, operating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, piping and environmental systems in hotels and resorts, commercial, medical, and industrial buildings as well as residential dwellings. SFCC’s HVAC and plumbing certificate is currently a two-semester, cohort program starting in the Fall semester.

The program is designed for industry newcomers and for people already working in the building maintenance and operations field who want to add to their knowledge and learn about the latest HVAC and plumbing technology trends. Evening classes make it easy for working students to attend.

In addition to providing personal instruction in concepts of HVAC and plumbing, the program focuses on expanding your trouble shooting techniques and problem-solving methods. SFCC’s HVAC and Plumbing Training Lab provides an ideal facility for hands-on practice and learning.

Industry internships and Employment assistance are available. Job opportunities are currently in high demand for workers with an education in HVAC and plumbing.
