Today’s human resources professionals serve as an important connection between employees and companies helping to recruit and retain employees, develop and manage compensation and benefits programs, oversee and administer employee development programs, and ensure compliance with employment laws.
SFCC’s two-semester, 15 credit Human Resources certificate program will introduce you to common human resources functions in today’s organizations. Coursework covers basic business terminology, theories and management practices; compensation and benefits considerations and practices; recruitment strategies and methods; employee development and training; and the legal, ethical and social responsibilities of the organization.
The courses in this certificate may be applied toward an A.A. or A.A.S. degree in Business Administration.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for HR specialists is projected to grow by 6% through 2032, and the median annual wage for Human Resources Specialists was $67,650.
