For individuals with a flair for design and technology, SFCC now offers an Architectural and Interior Design Certificate. The new certificate program is designed to provide students with the necessary skills for gainful employment as an architectural or interior design technician, working under a licensed professional. The technician is responsible for using software to create designs and technical drawings, engaging in multidisciplinary collaboration with team members and consultants, and assisting in solving complex design issues. Upon successful completion of this program, the student will be able to gain meaningful employment in an architecture or interior design office.
Want to get into the growing film industry? Two new certificates are available: a Digital Cinematography and Post Production certificate. These certificates are designed for students who are interested in working in a collaborative and creative culture in mentorship with filmmaking professionals.
For those who want to get to work quickly in the healthcare field, the college offers two new certificates: a Community Health Worker Training certificate and a Patient Care Assistant certificate. These certificates will prepare students to enter the healthcare profession at an entry-level position and they can further their education while working in order to advance their skills and knowledge. The college offers extensive offerings for those who want to continue their studies in health care fields.
Certificates prepare students for entry-level work and/or supplement their skills for job advancement opportunities. Degree programs prepare students for a career and/or transfer to a bachelor’s degree program. Once registration begins, students can choose classes from the schedule of courses for both semesters online at www.sfcc.edu.
