SFCC Spring Semester Registration Opens Nov. 12

Classes offered days, nights, weekends and online

SANTA FE, NM – Santa Fe Community College announces registration for spring semester classes will open on Nov. 12. There are dozens of certificate and associate degree programs offered at SFCC – during the day, night, weekends and online. Registration is ongoing through Jan. 17. Spring classes begin Jan. 21, 2020.

President Becky Rowley, Ph.D., said, “The spring semester offers everyone a great opportunity to prepare for the future. Whether you want to pursue a new career or learn a new trade to increase your pay, the college is here to support your dreams. The college offers daytime, evening, weekend and online classes to help you achieve your goals. Financial aid assistance, advising and other services to help students succeed are available to everyone.”

SFCC offers flexible study programs in Business, Health Care, Computer Science and Information Technology, Social Media, Exercise Science and other programs. Early registration is encouraged to secure a space for in-demand classes and to meet requirements for certificates and degrees, which open doors to successful careers. Construction in the state is booming. SFCC’s Building Sciences and Construction Technologies program will give you the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) credentials that will help you land a great paying job. The college also provides outstanding instruction in a variety of other concentrations within the construction industry including adobe constructiongreen building, HVAC, and plumbing.

Hospitality and tourism represents the largest employer in Santa Fe, with more than $400 million in revenue. SFCC’s Hospitality and Tourism program offers a certificate and associate of arts degree to help you enter the industry or move into hospitality management.

Do you enjoy working with computers? The Information and Computer Science program offers a variety of certificates and associate degrees.  Many computer certificate programs offer a mix of online and evening courses.

For those who work by day and are eager to advance in business, they can earn a Business Administration Certificate with a combination of night and web classes.  If you are eager to gain new digital skills, you can get all the courses you need online for a Social Media Specialist Certificate.

Certificates prepare students for entry-level work and/or supplement their skills for job advancement opportunities. Students can often earn a certificate in one year or less.

Degree programs prepare students for a career and/or transfer to a bachelor’s degree program. Students can choose classes from the schedule of courses online at sfcc.edu.
