Gently used winter clothes will be collected at the event for SFCC Campus Clothing Exchange

Santa Fe Community College’s Pickleball Club will present a Yuletide Pickleball Palooza on Sunday, December 14 at the William C. Witter Fitness Education Center (FEC), 6401 Richards Avenue, Santa Fe, 87508. Pre-registration is required online at https://bit.ly/4pdiw7d. Time slots accommodate players of all levels. Beginner and Intermediate play is from 10 a.m. to noon (doors open at 9:30 a.m.).
Advanced and Advanced Intermediate play is from 1 to 3 p.m. (doors open at 12:30 p.m.).

The event will support SFCC students in two ways. Fifty percent of the $20 registration fee supports SFCC Foundation’s Student Emergency Assistance Fund. Additional donations are welcome. Pickleball enthusiasts who are unable to play and would like to donate can do so through the online registration form. The Pickleball Club will also be collecting gently used winter clothes at the event to give to the SFCC Campus Clothing Exchange in SFCC’s Wellness Center.

Players of all levels are welcome to participate if they pre-register. Players can select one of four categories:

Beginner

  • New players and beginners
  • Make most of their serves
  • Short rallies

Intermediate

  • Know rules and can keep score
  • Longer rallies
  • Comfortable on the court

Advanced Intermediate

  • Good technique
  • Implementing game strategy
  • Long sustained rallies

Advanced

  • Great technique
  • Minimal unforced errors
  • Execute game strategy

Beginner and Intermediate play is from 10 a.m. to noon (doors open at 9:30 a.m.).
Advanced and Advanced Intermediate play is from 1 to 3 p.m. (doors open at 12:30 p.m.).
