Hundreds of high school students will tour the college
What: The Santa Fe Community College Student Recruitment and Outreach Office will host Santa Fe High School Seniors and Juniors in October for two open houses.
Who: SFHS senior class members will be on campus Tues., Oct. 4. SFHS Juniors will be here Thurs., Oct. 6, both from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. those days.
When: Students will arrive on campus at 9:30 a.m. for a welcome in the Campus Center. At that time they will sign up for tours of various campus departments. Students will tour between 10 and 11 a.m.
Where: Santa Fe Community College, 6401 Richards Ave., Santa Fe, NM 87508
Cost: Free to Santa Fe High Seniors and Juniors.
Of Note: More than 100 students are expected to attend each day. The best photo opportunities will be between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. when students will be viewing/participating in live demonstrations. Some examples include: art department demonstrations in the clay studio and demonstrations in the Health and Sciences simulation labs used for nursing and respiratory therapy.
Additional Facts: Many high school students have never visited a college campus. The open house gives students the opportunity to experience college for a day.
