Bellevue University Joins Santa Fe Higher Education Center
Launch kicks off with grand opening event on SFCC campus from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 17
Attendees can win a $1,000 grant

Santa Fe Higher Education Center announces the partnership with Bellevue University to provide new pathways to higher education for residents of northern New Mexico. To celebrate the new partnership, Bellevue University’s local Relationship Manager Mark Wood will host a grand opening and information session at 10 a.m. until noon Oct. 17 in the Campus Center at the Santa Fe Community College campus, 6401 Richards Avenue.

Students who attend the grand opening event can enter to win one of two $1,000 grants, which can be applied to a degree at Bellevue University. Refreshments will be served.

The new partnership will offer SFCC students the opportunity to continue their education beyond associate degrees at one of the nation’s leaders in preparing students for lifelong career success with career-relevant knowledge and skills. Students will be able to transfer all of their college credits, including full associate degrees, toward accelerated, online bachelor’s and master’s degrees in their chosen career field.

“We’re excited to have Bellevue University join our partners at the Santa Fe Higher Education Center,” said SFCC President Becky Rowley, Ph.D. “Bellevue University offers another option at the Santa Fe HEC for our students who want to continue their path to bachelor’s and master’s degrees.”

Jim Grotrian, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Bellevue University said, “Bellevue University is committed to helping Santa Fe Community College students achieve their educational goals and become leaders here in New Mexico.”
