What:   Santa Fe Community College presents, “The World is your Classroom: Teach with English Language Programs.”  Learn how you can make a difference globally through in-person and virtual teaching projects designed by the U.S. Department of State for experienced U.S. TESOL professionals. English Language Fellows, Specialists, and Virtual Educators provide language instruction, conduct teacher training, and develop resources, while being cultural ambassadors.

Presenter Biodata: Maggie Steingraeber has been with the U.S. Department of State since 2019 as a Global Program Officer for the English Language Fellow and Virtual English Language Educator programs. Before joining the Office of English Language Programs, she served as an English Language Fellow and as an English Language Specialist in Peru. She earned her BA in Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin and her MA in TESOL from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She has previously worked as a teacher and teacher trainer in the United States, China, India, Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
