Santa Fe Community College and the Santa Fe Higher Education Center to Close in Honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Jan. 17

Registration encouraged before the holiday weekend

Santa Fe Community College and the Santa Fe Higher Education Center will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. No classes will be held, and no student services will be available. SFCC’s child development center, Kids Campus will be closed.

Both campuses will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, which is the first day of classes for the spring semester for SFCC. The fitness center will re-open at 7 a.m. Jan. 18.

SFCC has a mask mandate for everyone when coming to campus. Please read SFCC’s current COVID-19 protocols. A covid-19 vaccine requirement goes into effect on January 18 for all attending in-person classes or using the fitness center. Proof of vaccination must be submitted via the SFCC Health Screener App. Review instructions on how to upload proof of vaccination.

Registration is encouraged before the holiday weekend. The college has developed a guide to registering detailed at https://www.sfcc.edu/get-started/apply-and-register/. All students are encouraged to work with an academic advisor. Remote appointments or in-person appointments can be made by emailing advisor@sfcc.edu or calling 505-428-1275.
