What Services are available for this population?
SFCC is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for pregnant and parenting students.
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), 20 U.S.C. §1681 et seq., is a Federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex—including pregnancy and parental status—in educational programs and activities that receive federal funding. Title IX specifically prohibits discrimination based on pregnancy, childbirth, false pregnancy, termination of pregnancy, or recovery from any of these conditions.
Accessibility Services and the Title IX Coordinator work together to provide services for pregnant and postpartum students at SFCC.
