Dual Credit Students (on-site at SFCC)

  • Student must complete an SFCC Admission Form (the online admission form is recommended).
    • If the student has previously participated in Dual Credit, s/he does not need to complete the admission form a second time.
  • Student must meet with his/her high school counselor to select the appropriate course(s) from the Dual Credit Approved Course List and current schedule of classes.
  • If appropriate, student must complete Placement Testing.
    • If the student is registering for a course with a prerequisite, the student must complete placement testing prior to registration.

    • Student will identify appropriate book(s).
    • Student will present the Bookstore Cashier with a valid picture identification as well as a SFCC student identification number (A#).
    • As a result of the Business Office/Third Party Billing having placed a credit in Book Log for the student, the student should be able to obtain the book without paying; the Local Education Agency (LEA) aka District/High School will be charged at a later date.
  • Per the Statewide Master Agreement, the student is responsible for any additional specific course fees and should pay them prior to the beginning of the class.
  • Students are highly encouraged to visit the Dual Credit website (sfcc.edu/offices/dual-credit) and view the Getting to Know Dual Credit document.
  • At the end of each semester, Dual Credit staff work with the Registrar’s Office to generate transcripts and have them sent to the appropriate LEAs and their representatives (as per the Statewide Master Agreement).
  • Dual Credit students are not eligible for financial aid beyond what is provided in the Statewide Master Agreement (waiving of tuition and regular fees by the Institution of Higher Education).

Concurrent Enrollment Students

  • Students must complete an SFCC Admission Form prior to registration (the online admission form is recommended).
  • The student is highly encouraged to see an adviser for new-student enrollment services and advising.
  • Concurrent Enrollment students are responsible for all applicable tuition, fees, textbooks, and course specific materials costs.
  • Concurrent Enrollment students are not eligible for financial aid.
  • Under the category of Concurrent Enrollment, other admission and registration criteria may be designed and implemented to allow students to attend SFCC while having a Third Party Pay tuition. This would require an additional agreement including, but not limited to, a Memorandum of Agreement, lease agreement, etc.
