Learning to See Creatively
Learn to get beyond the auto modes on your SLR camera. Become fully knowledgeable and comfortable adjusting the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings. Use of camera metering and histograms will be mastered. Lens focal lengths demonstrated and explained. Composition, camera angles, natural light conditions are covered as well. Learn to see in new and exciting ways. By the end of this workshop your photography skills will have made a huge leap forward. The sessions will be balanced between learning technical information and actual in the field photographing in order to practice what you have learned.

This class simplifies the entire process by examining all aspects of the digital camera. Discuss resolution, compression, white balance, file formats and media cards plus all the other settings found on today’s digital cameras. Learn photography basics such as shutter speed, aperture or f-stop, ISO, flash, lenses, focus and many other features.

Hands-On Introduction to Digital Photography With DSLR
Learn the basics of using your digital SLR (DSLR) camera through classroom demonstrations, discussions, a photo assignment and a field session. Topics include the different types of DSLR cameras, how to use aperture and shutter speeds, white balance, camera filters, the basic principles of effective composition and more. This class is recommended for those new to DSLR photography as well as film photographers who want to switch to digital. Students must have a digital SLR camera.
