For more than 25 years, Terence Donaldson has enhanced the way private and public sector organizations achieved results through the design and implementation of a wide array of business and human resources systems and programs.
Terence Donaldson served as Assistant Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer of the Department of Human Resources for the State of Tennessee.
In this role, Terence developed and executed human resources strategies and hands-on solutions that fostered employee engagement and peak performance. He led human resources operations to include: human resources management, finance, organizational performance/data management and quality assurance.
During his tenure with the State of Tennessee, Terence also served as the Executive Director of Human Resources for the Department of Children Services. He provided full cycle human resources support and service delivery for one of the largest operating departments with complex human resources systems including performance management, organizational design, employee engagement, headcount management, policy design, compensation, employee development, payroll and employee recognition.
Prior to his tenure in State Government, Terence gained valuable Human Resources Operations, Leadership and Management experience from work with Fortune 100 companies; most previously with Deloitte LLP (a Big 3 professional services firm) and Comcast Corporation (a multi-media organization) where he served as Area Director of Human Resources. In this role, Terence partnered with leaders to develop and execute business solutions to align business units to achieve strategic sales, service, financial and human resources targets.
Terence is a graduate of the University of New Mexico (UNM) where he earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Communication and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. Also, Terence is a former UNM student-athlete as he played football for the Lobos. Terence is certified in Employment and Labor Law (IAML) and is a graduate of LEAD Tennessee.
