Ruthy Watson Ph.D. serves as the Director of Assessments, Program Review, and Special Projects for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.

Prior to joining SFCC, Dr. Watson worked in higher education in both faculty and administrative roles around the country. Her work experience includes campus safety, violence prevention, academic affairs, student affairs, diversity, equity and inclusion. She is a skilled collaborator, trainer, researcher, and advocate who has conducted workshops on topics including stress management and prevention, wellness, mental health and diversity, equity and inclusion. Dr. Watson has her Ph.D. in Public Health with a specialization in Health Promotion and her Master of Science in Community Health Education, both which were earned at Walden University. Her undergraduate degree is in Sociology from Chatham College. Dr. Watson is certified in QPR Basic Gatekeeper Training, Mental Health First Aid for Youth and Adults and as a Core Advocate.
