I have roots in many places, but I am happy to call New Mexico my home. I am most appreciative of my international education and the chances I have had to travel and study in different parts of the world. I hold an M.A. in History from the University of Delhi in New Delhi, India, and a Ph.D. in South & Southeast Asian Studies from the University of California-Berkeley. The surprising opportunities I encountered as an “undecided” student in Greensboro, North Carolina, and my mentors’ encouragement to keep a curious and open mind, guide my work as an academic advisor.
In my conversations with undecided and international students at SFCC, I am eager to investigate the many possibilities that life has to offer us and how we can make meaning through our chosen educational paths.
