Neil Hunter

Neil Hunter holds a B.S. in biology from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and an M.Sc. in molecular biology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He also did graduate work in science education at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. After teaching anatomy and physiology for four summers at SFCC, he accepted a full-time instructor’s position within the Biology department in August, 2005. Previously, Neil taught biology in Hong Kong, Great Britain and New Mexico with the United World Colleges. He has also served as a counselor, dean and vice president within that organization.

Neil teaches cell biology and genetics to science majors, anatomy and physiology for pre-nursing students and introduction to biology to non–science majors.
