Joanna Johnston’s roots are tied to the enchanting landscapes of New Mexico, a place she proudly calls home. She is currently studying human services/social work at SFCC. Her commitment to making a positive impact on society is evident through her passion for helping others as the Student Resource Coordinator, as well as her volunteer work in animal care and rescue. She also holds a certificate in Creative Writing, earned from SFCC in 2023.
Driven by her dual passions for aiding others and embracing the beauty of art in its myriad forms, Joanna embodies a compassionate and creative spirit. As a student employee for the Student Wellness Center, she collaborated with Counselor Leah Goldstein to help create the Quotes Project, becoming one of the main poster designers, as well as implementing budget and maintenance systems for the project.
Whether she’s lending a helping hand to those in need or immersing herself in the transformative power of artistic expression, Joanna’s enthusiasm shines through, inspiring those around her to pursue both personal and societal betterment.
