Dr. Cheryl Sensibaugh was trained as a biochemist and science education researcher.  Her research areas of expertise are assessment and problem solving.  After attending community college here in New Mexico, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of New Mexico (UNM).  She continued on at UNM to attain a Doctorate degree in Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Sensibaugh has more than ten years of teaching experience at three diverse institutions.  She taught biochemistry students in an active learning environment at both UNM and at the University of Georgia, where she conducted post-doctoral research.  She currently teaches chemistry courses, most often Introduction to Chemistry.
