Barry Hubbard, Ph.D., previously served as the Dean of Associate in Science Degree Programs at Hillsborough Community College, Dale Mabry Campus, where he was responsible for the academic operations and administration of over 60 associate degrees and college credit certificates in accounting, architecture/building construction, business administration, computer information technology, dietetics, electrical engineering, entrepreneurship, and hospitality/culinary management.

Dr. Hubbard has been a faculty member and department chair for computer science at Hillsborough Community College and has extensive experience with online learning. While faculty, he served on a number of college committees and task forces to include Academic Affairs, Faculty Instructional Technology, Academic Division Re-organization, and Distance Learning. Dr. Hubbard was also involved with the faculty union, serving on its council and as president. In his capacity as dean, he has been on the administration bargaining teams for both the adjunct and full-time faculty contract negotiations. Additionally, he has worked in various student affairs and administrative roles at Saint Leo University and in the College of Education at the University of South Florida to include student involvement, academic advising, and residence life.

Dr. Hubbard holds a B.A. in Music from Roanoke College, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and Ph.D. in Instructional Technology both from the University of South Florida. He also completed a post-graduate diploma in Project Management from the University of Westminster’s Business School in London, UK.
