Angela Ortiz is a native of Santa Fe. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing at Luna Community College in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Angela earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009 and Master of Science in Nursing in 2011 from the University of New Mexico. Angela has been a nurse for 20 years and has experience in various units including behavioral health, ICU, ED, corrections, home health, medical/surgical, and house supervisor. She began teaching at SFCC in 2009.
Angela teaches the nurses aide and home health aide classes, as well as the mental health clinicals for the nursing department. Angela’s teaching goals are to provide students with the comprehensive knowledge they will need to enter the nursing assistant and nursing fields. Her priorities are to engage students in each class and to help students provide the best healthcare possible.
