¡Palabra!: Microaggressions

Microaggressions: are day to day environmental, verbal, and non-verbal slights and insults that intentionally or unintentionally communicate hostile, derogatory, and negative messages about people based solely on their belonging to marginalized groups.

These common and subtle moments of humiliation may seem harmless, but throughout life, can lead to increased morbidity and flattened confidence.
