Let Us Know about Your Concerns, Complaints, and Issues
Policy 2-3 covers two levels of conflict:
- Concerns, defined as minor disagreements
- Complaints, which deal with more serious issues
Example Concern: “My instructor was disrespectful to me in class.”
Example Complaint: “My instructor treats me different than my classmates because…”
Issues are customer service oriented regarding departments on campus. Any type of request that does not fall under Concern or Complaint but will affect a specific department and can be resolved outside of the Academic Affairs office.
Example Issue: “The men’s restroom in the health and sciences building is out of paper towels.”

If you prefer to speak with someone in person about your issue, concern, or complaint, please visit the Academic Affairs office located in room 114, Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If this is an emergency, contact the Campus Safety and Security office, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in room 101 by the main entrance or at 505-428-1224.
