Free Tax Prep at SFCC through April 15

Make an appointment now to get your taxes done for free at SFCC. Through April 15, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide and SFCC are providing free in-person tax assistance and preparation by appointment. Trained volunteers from the community will meet with you to help prepare your taxes. Once you’ve made an appointment, go to Main Campus, Room 408 or 410 to meet with your tax preparer. 

State Coordinator Gene Varela said, “We’re excited to partner again with SFCC to offer this free service through the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide. Tax preparation is offered in English and Spanish.” AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest free tax assistance and preparation service.

Appointments are available from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. It’s best to arrive 15-30 minutes early. You can pick up intake and other forms in Rooms 408 or 410 or download them. Details on what to bring to your appointment and more information are online. Individuals who do not have internet access or who need more information can leave a voicemail at 505-428-1780; volunteers will return calls when possible. Please note that appointments are not available during the SFCC’s Spring Break (March 24 – 30).
