HVAC upgrades begin in East Wing

Construction is underway on major Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system improvements funded by $2.3 million from the 2022 General Obligation Bond, with matching support from the 2024 Local GO Bond. Stage 1 of Phase I will upgrade four air handlers serving key campus spaces, beginning with the Library, Adult Education, and the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Service Desk. These improvements will enhance energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and long-term campus sustainability.
Visitors to campus between February 16 and March 27 should note that the upper northern section of the East Wing will be closed during construction, and some services have temporarily relocated. Updated signage will guide alternate walking routes. The following offices will be in temporary locations through April 6: Library (Room 583), OIT Service Desk (Room 416), and Adult Education (Room 226).
