Come experience National Community College Month events in April

Santa Fe Community College proudly participates in the national observation of Community College Month in April. Community College Month celebrates the vital role that community colleges play in building the local workforce and the economy. This is an opportunity for students, alumni, and others to reflect on the college’s important role in creating community vibrancy for themselves, their families, neighbors, and the community.
Social media users can post on how SFCC has impacted them by sharing stories with the hashtag #CCMonth. The theme for 2025 is “Best Decision Ever,” so adding the additional hashtag #BestDecisionEver will expand awareness. Social media posts might convey how the college has helped someone get a new career that has changed their life. Or reflect how fitness classes helped someone get in shape and improved their health. Maybe you’ve taken Continuing Education classes that taught you a new skill and helped you make great friends in the community.
Since last May, when SFCC kicked off its 40th anniversary celebration, the college has bustled with special events and activities, including open houses, art openings, literary readings, free workforce training, activities for student parents and their young children, fitness competitions, and community gatherings as well as the many credit and noncredit classes that meet in person and online.

SFCC welcomes the community to visit the campus during open hours anytime throughout the year. This April during Community College Month, SFCC encourages everyone to experience and enjoy our beautiful and dynamic campus during one of our many activities.
The following Community College Month Calendar highlights some key events in April. Most events are free and open to the public. To find locations, go to SFCC’s maps. Some of the events listed may charge a registration fee or require pre-registration. Register now for events with a limited capacity that may quickly fill.
