Javier Gonzales Memorial Presidential Title V Endowed Scholarship
The Santa Fe Community College Foundation announces the Javier Gonzales Memorial Presidential Title V Endowed Scholarship to honor the memory of a beloved Santa Fe icon. Javier’s legacy leaves a lasting, positive effect on Santa Fe through his life as a leader, mayor, and visionary of the community. As a result, many partners have already contributed to the endowment, including:
Gonzales was a visionary during his time as mayor, making Santa Fe a sanctuary city for immigrants, celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day, and was an essential part of developing the Mobile Integrated Health Office and Santa Fe’s Alternative Response Unit. He also fostered economic development initiatives that helped startups and local businesses thrive.
