Math Assessment Exams are used to correctly place students in a math course at SFCC

Self Assessment Exam
Students can take this exam from home using their own computer. A Spanish Assessment Exam is required when taking a Spanish course.

These exams are secured exams delivered by each company listed that offer high-stakes test delivery. The SFCC Testing Center serves as a HOST Location (High-stakes Online Secured Testing). We are unable to register clients on-site or take walk-ins for these exams. All exam requests must be handled by the exam company, please visit the test company’s website to schedule an exam appointment at our testing center.

HiSET

Mondays and Tuesdays

  • New Mexico accepts two High School Equivalency (HSE) tests for earning High School diplomas and certification: the GED and the HiSET. Visit the HSE page below for more information.
  • Please note: the math exam is the only exam HiSET allows a calculator to be used. This is either built-in to the system or can be provided by the Testing Center.

SmarterProctoring

Monday-Friday

  • SmarterProctoring supports outside college and university exams. 
  • The Testing Center can support paper and online exams. We require a 2-week notice request for all exams to schedule and facilitate.
  • For paper exams:  The SFCC’s testing center testing center will follow all instructions provided by the institution via the SmarterProctoring platform. 
  • College and University Exams
  • For all online exams: Testing candidates must use their own laptop. We require laptops to enable a lockdown browser for all exams. Computers must enable SFCC Wi-Fi prior to entering the Testing Center. See here for additional steps- https://w3.sfcc.edu/oit/wifi/ 

Other Universities and Institutions

Monday-Friday

  • This service is for students testing away from their school’s home campus.
  • The Testing Center can support paper and online exams. Your instructor/professor must submit the SFCC Proctoring Testing Form to confirm that we can administer your exam either via paper or by you using your own laptop. We require a 2-week notice for all exams to be scheduled and facilitated. 
  • For paper exams:  The testing center will follow all instructions provided by your instructor/professor. We can support midterm, final, and classroom exams. 
  • For all online exams: Testing candidates must use their own laptop. We require laptops to enable a lockdown browser for all exams. Computers must enable SFCC Wi-Fi prior to entering the Testing Center. See here for additional steps- https://w3.sfcc.edu/oit/wifi/ 
  • Please contact the Testing Center directly if you have any specific questions or concerns prior to completing the below form.
