How Do You Spell “Future” with AI?
2 – 3 p.m. Thursday, April 27

SFCC Library and Online Teaching and Learning (OTL) collaborate in the second campus conversation on ChatGPT. Like all things technology, AI has continued to grow astoundingly quickly. This session seeks to cover a short review of ChatGPT and what it can do, but will go beyond, sharing information about the company, its future, and its influence. What strategies have been developed to prevent its usage in schools—in SFCC specifically—and how can it be detected, if at all? The talk will open for questions and discussion, but not before exploring some creative ways faculty (and students) have not only accepted but embraced the usage of ChatGPT in class. Panelists will include: Julia Duncan (OTL), Sarah Hood (Library), Val Nye (Library).
