Santa Fe Community College celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. Activities will kick off on Monday, Sept. 17 with a dance performance by Baile Folklorico from noon to 12:30 p.m. and a singing performance by Jovita Enriquez from 12:30 to 1 p.m. All the free events are open to the public and are on the college campus, 6401 Richards Ave.
The month-long celebration will continue with weekly events that will include music performances, cultural panels, a salsa-tasting contest and lectures and discussions by members of SFCC faculty and staff.
