Home-made Salsa Contest & Salsa Tasting for All
11 a.m. to noon
We encourage everyone to bring your favorite Homemade Salsa!
Salsas will be turned in to Ian Martinez in The President’s office on Tuesday, October 2nd from 8:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. or on Wednesday, October 3rd from 8:00 A.M.-9:00 A.M.
- Participants will need to bring 2 quarts of Homemade Salsa.
- Participants will need an Ingredients sheet (turn in with Salsa).
- Salsa will be judged by 5 judges for flavor, heat, and uniqueness.
- Please contact Ian Martinez if you plan to bring a salsa (RSVP).
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and prizes will be awarded.
- Tasting for everyone after judging!

Santa Fe Community College celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. Activities will kick off on Monday, Sept. 17 with a dance performance by Baile Folklorico from noon to 12:30 p.m. and a singing performance by Jovita Enriquez from 12:30 to 1 p.m. All the free events are open to the public and are on the college campus, 6401 Richards Ave.
The month-long celebration will continue with weekly events that will include music performances, cultural panels, a salsa-tasting contest and lectures and discussions by members of SFCC faculty and staff.
