From Guns to Gardens and Art reception and film screening of ‘Trigger’

The SFCC Foundation has partnered with New Mexicans to Prevent Gun Violence to present a film screening of “Trigger” with a cocktail reception to follow on Thurs., Aug. 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Center for Contemporary Arts, 1050 Old Pecos Trail. The screening is hosted by Mayor Javier Gonzales, author Valerie Plame and former Ambassador Joe Wilson. Tickets: A tax deductible contribution of $100 or more. Funds provide the seed money needed to hold gun buyback events in Santa Fe and Rio Arriba Counties. To purchase tickets, click here: Guns to Gardens Fundraiser. On Nov. 12 SFCC will host Guns to Gardens when firearms collected will be forged into garden shovels, spades, jewelry and art. That event is also sponsored by RAWtools. Irrigation Repair

Santa Fe Community College will be repairing irrigation lines at the central roundabout (the drop-off area by the flag poles) Monday, April 23 through Monday, April 30. During repairs, the roundabout will not be accessible. Please use other entrances into the main and West Wing parking lots. No parking areas will be affected. Please use caution when walking or driving in the vicinity. Thank you for your patience while we make improvements to campus.
